Valenwood, on the other hand, is a much more difficult land for the Altmer to suppress. The Nealtmer Mutiny starts here, with their headquarters situated in the city of Senchal. In southern Elsweyr the affluent Pelletineans were exhausted of the Elven Hegemony, which overtaxed the minorities who owned plantations. The game world will encompass the provinces of Elsweyr and Valenwood. Soon the Nealtmer Mutiny (meaning 'Not High Culture' in Elven) took power in the streets. The Bosmer and Khajiit pointed their bows at the Summerset Isles. The Bosmer, on the the hand, were forbidden to eat any morsel of vegetation in their religion, and also declined the Thalmor's demands. The Khajiit, half-cats themselves, refused to eat their own kind, dismissing the Thalmor's commands as cannibalism. Under Ernath's orders the government restricted the diets of the Khajiit and Bosmer to cat-meat and greenery. He was a staunch reactionary, who wished to enforce Thalmor subjugation to the tipping point. Coming into power at the age of only six years old, the toddler's power was given to her advisor: Ernath Athael. At first these radicals were seen as nothing but eggheads, until the coronation of Empress Ternya Sillonor.

The revolutionary ideals of the Stormcloaks have crept their way into Thalmor country. The independent states of Hammerfell and Skyrim severed High Rock from the Imperial Empire, leaving it susceptible to invasion or far worse, revolution. It was only with the secession of Skyrim under the High King Ulfric Stormcloak that the Thalmor's power became questioned. The Aldmeri Dominion had incorporated large swathes of territory into their empire, and has major influence on the remainder of the continent. It has been thirteen years since the Dovakiin laid waste to Alduin, and over two centuries since the Oblivion Crisis.

The provinces of Anequina and Pelletine were included into the Aldmeri Dominion, with the inclusion of the High Elf homeland of Alinor and the Bosmeri Valenwood. After the the Moons disappeared Elsweyr fell into scrutiny, and the Confederacy disintegrated into two rival factions: the Kingdoms of Anequina and Pelletine.Īfter the Thalmor were looked up by the Khajiit, and in 115 the Thalmor settled peace talks between the competing kingdoms.

The lunar cycles determine the caste every Khajiit newborn will assume in adult life. The Moons of Masser and Secunda are paramount for the Khajiit's vitality. But two years later the moons returned, and the Thalmor, the conceited elves from the Summerset Isles, claimed responsibility. 100 years ago the world was plagued by a terrible curse: The Void Nights.
